Brian Henry Eekhoff Youth endowment
Brian had a passion for children and created a connection immediately with his infectious personality. This was evident every time he interacted with a child. He was not only able to reach out to children while teaching them how to play golf, coaching basketball and his involvement as a youth group leader at his local church but also wetting his line on the river and shooting at the range.
The Brian Henry Eekhoff Youth Development Fund was created with the intention of carrying on Brian's legacy by supporting children locally and internationally. All proceeds of the memorial golf tournament will go to support the charities or individuals below.
This year our tournament funds will go to Clydehurst Christian Ranch.This ranch provides summer camp opportunities for kids in the area. To learn more about what Clydehurst offers click HERE.
In addition to our continued support for families in the Gallatin County the Eekhoff Youth Endowment made a donation to the YMCA. That support specifically went to help fund the the Y Achiever program and well as the youth fly fishing and summer golf programs.
BRIAN ATIKA
GALLATIN COUNTY
The fund's first recipient is Brian Atika, a young boy from Kenya who was on Brian's heart. These funds give him the opportunity to attend a school for children with special needs.
Last year marked the 2nd Annual Eekhoff Memorial Golf Tournament. 2020 was a year of uncertainty for so many. We were fortunate to be able to hold the tournament. Although the weather was not ideal, the company and enjoyment were on point.
All the proceeds of the event went to the Brian Eekhoff Youth Endowment. During the holiday season, 12 families were chosen in the Gallatin Valley to fulfill their Christmas wishes, who may not have otherwise experienced it. Knowing that the kids were able to have a joyful Christmas and parents were able to have a financial stress-free holiday was a blessing. We cannot thank all the participants enough for allowing the endowment fund to the bless these families. Brian’s legacy of kindness and love carries on because of your participation, support and generosity.
Royal Family Kids was chosen by Brian's family for the direct impact it has on the Gallatin Valley. Having a personal connection with the leaders and mentors at this local location allows them to connect and know specifically how the Youth Development Fund could dramatically benefit its program in our valley.
